Welsh Week

This week we have been celebrating Welsh week. Dosbarth Dolwen have been doing a dance and making Welsh cakes. And everyone is going to try and use as much Welsh as they can. Mrs Hughes has also put some signs up for the children to do a little bit of Welsh. We have a Welsh phrase of the week. This week it is Ble est ti? Dosbarth Elian have been learning about the Seven Wonders of Wales and they are Pistyll Rhaeadr (waterfall), Wrexham Steeple, Overton Yew Trees, St Winefride's well, Llangollen Bridge, Gresford Bells, and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and they have also been playing some Welsh games. Dosbarth Marian are choosing their favourite animal then drawing and then writing about it. They also have been making a shop in Welsh and putting a random price tag on them and adding the prices together.
